At Micro Computer World we understand the importance of your network running smoothly and efficiently. As 50% to 70% of all computer failures are associated to the network infrastructure, we are now able to offer a cabling contract on the cabling you have in place, to report on this, and to offer a fix on any problems found. As you will be aware MCW offer complete Cat 5e/6 structured cable installations which are tested and certified using a Fluke DSP-4000 Digital Cable Analyzer. If we have installed your cabling, we will have tested and certified your network. However faults can occur and to callout an engineer to rectify these can be expensive, therefore our cabling contract covers;
- 2 call outs/visits per £500 contract value
- Accidental cover to damaged cables
- All cable replacement and labour
- Modules and re-patching
- 8 hour response, with best endeavour 8 hour fix
MCW are certified to undertake powerful digital diagnostics and network tests to;
- Identify and locate opens or breaks, short circuits and cabling link anomalies.
- Monitor impulse noise on twisted pair cable to identify hub port connections
- Identify connectivity status of desktops, routers and servers
- Identify faulty network components
- Check the health of network segments
- Locate crosstalk problems
- Monitor network traffic and detect network usage
- Test WAN bandwidth
MCW charges £7 per point to cover all of the above
(This is open to discussion depending on number of points)
Total payment would be on a pre-paid annual basis, Or monthly credit payments can be arranged.
